I never really thought about renter's insurance until after my uncle died. In fact he was a professional musician just like I am, both of play guitar for a living. However he had been doing it longer than I had been alive and he collected guitars, all of which he gave me. In all he gave me twenty seven antique guitars and he was smart enough to do it so that the tax people can not really do much to me. I need to keep them secure and save while renting an apartment. In fact I suspect that the guitars are worth enough that I could trade them for a house if I could manage to figure out how to do it without the taxes coming due. Some of the instruments are quite rare and in particular there is one which once belonged to one the most famous of the Golden Era Jazz guitarists. That would not matter if I could not prove it, but I can.
I am thinking that I need to sell some of the guitars because I just do not have a place to keep them. I had nine guitars to start out, most of them were of moderate value, but obviously when you are a pro you need to have the type of gear that a pro uses. You can not walk in to a studio with a 65 dollar Yamaha like the one that I started out on. Of course that 65 dollars is probably worth about four hundred dollars now and you could probably have bought a thousand dollars worth of some stock if you had spent that money wisely back then. At any rate I have no place to keep close to forty guitars and it would be a lot for someone to steal.Take On Analyzing
After just getting out of the military for good, I decided to go back home to where most of my family is in Texas. I stayed with my parents for awhile, and then moved out in only months to get my own place. Dad said we have more choices for electricity, so I should look at www.texasenergycompanies.net so that I could comparison shop.
I found this to be interesting considering that when I left for the military, the only choice that anyone had in our area for utilities as through the city. This had long been a bone of contention with many people because people feel it unfair that the city kept a monopoly on who we could get electricity from for many decades.
When a local news outlet found out that the city was raising monthly rates again because they said had no other choice, the media outlet began digging. Everyone was glad they did because they found out the employees at the utility company where spending thousands upon thousands on ridiculous conferences they did not need, expensive luncheons every week for hundreds of employees and many other types of unnecessary over spending.
But the good news is that with deregulation, we now have the choices we deserve. When I used the previously mentioned website, I found that I could get the service I want at a much better price than our city government is offering us. I decided that I would take the money savings and put it away in a special savings account each month. I will be doing this with any money that I save from any business that I buy from, but it really feels good to do that when it comes to saving cash that does not need to go in my city's pocket while they overspend. I am pretty happy with my new arrangement!Take On Analyzing
I have this recent craze with taking selfies and then posting them to the internet. I am not sure what is so attractive about it to me, but I think that it has in part to do with the fact that I am using social media now more than ever before in my life. I am just so happy that it can keep me in touch with all of the people that I know. I am very excited about the prospect of getting a selfie stick iPhone version to help me to take selfies better. Sometimes you need to have the phone further away than is allowed by the length of your arm, and i believe that this is exactly the reason why the selfie stick is such a cool idea.
I wish that I had thought to make one, because I might be making some money right now, if I had thought to make them. But anyway, I am going to look into the prices. I am a bit short on money at the present moment. But I want to get one of these soon, if i am able to afford it, on account of the fact that I am going to be going on a trip in a few weeks, and it is very likely that I will have a lot of good opportunities to take good selfies while I am on this trip.
At least, I plan on taking at least a dozen. I am not sure if I will share them all right away, but I think that it is something i will do over time. I don't want to bombard my followers with too many of the pictures at any one point in time. I feel that could be a bad thing to do on social media.Take On Analyzing
Comcast Cable TV is one of the nation's largest and successful providers of cable television services as well as Internet Services. I've been a customer of theirs in two separate states which gave me two separate experiences with them; one where the service was excellent while the other left me with a bitter taste in my mouth, making me wonder why the difference happened. Is it because of the cable infrastructure being poorly developed in one area and not the other? Is it the quality of workers in an area over the others? Many of their installation techs are actually contracted out so that could definitely be the case.
I've never had a lot of work as a cable television subscriber. I don't know why it is! Most of the time I just use Netflix, Crunchyroll and Hulu but I also use the On Demand access that Comcast offers - I just wish it wasn't so expensive! I would rather pay for a single show or a channel instead of being forced to pay for ten channels when all I want to do is watch the one! I really think consumers are looking for this kind of flexibility - a build it your own packages would be awesome.
I've grown up with the Internet. I've used the Internet for my entertainment for almost all of my life up until this point. It's only in the past couple of years where I've signed up for Comcast so I could watch shows like Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Spartacus. It's the premium content that I want more than anything, content that I simply cannot get through other avenues. It may not always be like this but for the time being if I want to be entertained by these shows, I have to pay the price.
- I am taking the J train to transfer to the L train at Broadway Junction going towards Brooklyn. Do I need to walk up or down on the elevated platform and how many levels? Also, do I need to pay for another train ride or is it an immediate free transfer?
Thank-you to anyone that answers.
Answer by John L
The L train platforms are above the J platform, so you'll have to go up stairs. As at all connecting stations on the NY subway, connections between lines are free.
- I am hanging a mirror that came with three j-hooks (plastic) and three nails. How do I put these up on the wall to hang the mirror? Someone was going to help me do this but I am having a get together today and no directions came with the mirror.
Answer by rich under construction
J-hook hardware must mean the mirror has round eyelets attached to it that then slide over the j-hooks. And if the j-hooks came with nails, then the manufactures recommended installation would be much like hanging a picture on the wall. For placement, find out where you will want the mirror and determine where the top eyelet attached to the mirror will be. Then insert the nail into the two small holes provided on the j-hook. Notice the nail will be driven in on a downward angle. Place it on the wall where the top eyelet will slide over it. Now, take a hammer and drive the nail in on the downward angle. Measure the back of the mirror for the location of the other two eyelets and transfer them to the wall with two small pencil marks. If you have a level, draw a plumb line from the first j-hook to make sure the mirror will hang straight. Good luck to you!
