    Journey of Harmony

Nearly every country that participates in the Olympic Games has a resident community in London. All London’s communities are invited to welcome the Olympic flame as it passes along our streets. Show your support for the Olympic ideal and the Relay theme of ‘Journey of Harmony’.

    The Olympic Torch Finale

The Torch Relay in London ended at a grand finale at the Arena at North Greenwich climaxing with the spectacle of the arrival of the final torchbearer and the lighting of the Olympic Cauldron.

The grand finale at Peninsula Square rounded off a truly unique day. The free, ticketed event, was a fusion of East meets West, the contemporary and traditional, in a dynamic and theatrical display of Chinese ribbon dancers, an exciting electro-acoustic music act, gymnasts, and pyro displays.
